Twin Peaks Wedding Inspiration in North Carolina
A strange and wonderful styled shoot, inspired by Twin Peaks, will give you some awesome wedding inspiration today. Three Region Photography out of North Carolina came up with this Twin Peaks wedding inspiration, and it was executed in a fun, awesome, and well – strange and wonderful way.
From the photographer:
“As a designer and creative, I have long been inspired by the mood and aesthetic of Twin Peaks. Kitschy themes and quirky surrealism are hardly the stuff of most traditional wedding magazines and blogs. But with more and more couples including dramatic themes and unconventional inspiration into their weddings we wanted to do something that pushed the boundaries of traditional wedding inspiration shoots.
Our goal was to capture the vibe of Twin Peaks and create a highly conceptual shoot that walked the line between wedding inspiration and fashion editorial. We wanted to include thematic elements and references to the show overtly. The idea that if you are going to have a theme wedding that it should be subtle and restrained is very popular right now, but we wanted to do the opposite. We want to encourage couples to be bold and expressive with their themes.
We created the Red Room inspired scenery was created with pipe and drape and a floor created with adhesive wallpaper from Target! The white tree ceremony piece was inspired by a recurring element in the show, and log dessert stands were a reference to the Log Lady, a much loved character from the show. These three elements were made specifically for this photo shoot. Erica arranged all of the floral designs as well. The desserts, the pie, donuts, and chocolate bunnies are all references to specific plot points as well.
Twin Peaks combines surrealist visuals, campy melodrama, humor, and a good old-fashioned murder mystery into a show that was groundbreaking at the time and still unique to this day. Music, scenery, and the performances all contribute to the vibe and aesthetic.
Don’t be afraid to get a little weird. Be authentic to yourselves and let your imagination guide you!”
