Colorful Chicago Rock & Roll Elopement Inspiration
Misty: When this submission came in via Two Bright Lights, I got a little giddy. This rock & roll elopement is definitely one for the books. From the Ferris Bueller mural to appeal to my 80’s child heart, to the nods to Chicago love throughout, it was impossible not to publish this beauty. If I were going to elope in Chicago, this is exactly how I’d do it.
Mike: Being a fan of the Shameless I became instantly hooked in the scenery for this shoot. I love the bright colors. Is it wrong that one of my favorite things are the heels with spikes? I don’t think so. I also love that the photos with the train was not some cheesy photoshopped blur and Lisa actually shot them like that. Bravo Lisa!
From Lisa Kay Creative, the photographer: “I wanted a very bright, indie, artsy feel and I wanted the backdrop to be the grittier spots in Chicago. The shoot concept was a little bit rock & roll, a little bit hipster and a whole lot Chicago. We focused our shoot around the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago using the numerous colorful murals as inspiration.”
