Underwater Inspiration at Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront
Misty: This is the shoot that started it. Sure, Mike and I had worked together on other projects, but this is the shoot that made us say, “I bet there’s other people like us out there with these crazy amazing ideas.” Sure enough, there are – because we have the submissions that you’re seeing today, at the launch, and then a bunch more waiting in the wings for the coming weeks. To say I’m ecstatic – well, you guys know me. I’m excited about everything. I wanted to create underwater wedding inspiration – and boy, did we do it.
This shoot is more than excitement though. It’s a cumulation of epic ideas into one amazing collaboration amongst some of the best wedding vendors in Hampton Roads. It’s amazing to see what we could come up with – how Mike and my little idea to float a table in the water and stick a bride underwater in a wedding gown turned into one of the most gorgeous, image-heavy shoots that I’ve ever had the pleasure to be part of.
Clearly I’m biased. And I’m sure that Mike will take a much more diplomatic, manly, less emotional stance on this shoot. But guys – you can’t deny it. This thing – that floating table, sticking invites in the water, sticking a light under a sequined table to make it pop, watching the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean – it’s all SO much. It all meant so much. I’m not crying. Yet.
Mike: This shoot may be one that I am equally as giddy as Misty is. Not that I’m “screechy high pitched girl voice” about it but I am pumped. There was literally months of planning that went into this shoot. From concept to completion this shoot just grew and grew and grew into what you see today. I am just completely blown away by the work and dedication of all the venders that were involved with this shoot. We literally chose the “dream team” of venders to be a part of this shoot and every single one said yes to waking up in the middle of the night to do it.
Please enjoy all of these photos. I hope you love them as much as we do. We hope that this shoot as well as this entire blog serves to inspire you to create things you never thought were possible.
